Atletico Madrid striker Diego Costa has thrown shades at departed Real Madrid coach Zinedine Zidane claiming the French manager was sacked.
The three-time Champions League winning coach shocked the world on May, 30, as he announced his resignation as manager of Los Blancos.
But the Spanish striker has another view to the shocking news saying the former World Player of the Year was fired by Madrid's management.
"Well, that's very unlucky, Zidane just won the Champions League and he got fired. He shouldn't have won," he told ESPN.
Spain are currently in camp for the World Cup as Costa made Julen Lopetegui's final 23-man squad after having a torrid season with Chelsea.
Costa could spear-head the attack in the group that involves Portugal, Iran and Morocco as they will aiming to clinch their second World Cup trophy after their historic 2010 win.
